Midtown Elementary School

Project Details & Solutions

Midtown Elementary School is a highly-rated public school located in Madison, Alabama. This new 124-128,000 square foot facility replaced the former West Madison Elementary.

For this project, Hall Concrete Contracting was contracted by Baily Harris Construction. We started work in June 2020 and finished our portion in October 2020. We poured approximately 87,000 square feet of slab on grade and saw-cut the joints in the ground floor slab. We also poured approximately 46,000 of slab on deck and poured the steps and landings going to the 2nd floor. Construction was completed in July 2021 and opened later that fall for the 2021-2022 school year.

Alabama Robotics Technology Park

Project Details & Solutions

The Alabama Robotics Technology Park (RTP) is a state-of-the-art training center located in Tanner, Alabama. It has been described as one of the most innovative training centers in the country. The RTP was designed with the aim of bridging the skills gap prevalent in the robotics industry, by providing students with the latest training in cutting-edge robotic technologies.

For this project, Hall Concrete Contracting worked on the Phase III RTP expansion with the general contractor Consolidated Construction Company of Alabama (CCC). Phase III consisted of the construction of the Integration, Entrepreneurial, and Paint Dispense Training Facility. Companies can use the 52,000 square foot facility to build, install, and adapt automation equipment for new and existing manufacturing processes. They can also train their employees before installing the equipment in their plants. We started work in March 2015 and finished in August 2015. We poured approximately 46,000 square feet of slab on grade and saw-cut the joints. We also poured about 7,000 square feet of slab on deck/elevated slab. Construction was completed in 2016 and the facility was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the governor of Alabama.

Walker Farms

Project Details & Solutions

Walker Farm South is located near Lexington in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Lauderdale County is known for its rich agricultural heritage and is home to a thriving farming community. It is renowned for its cattle ranching and poultry farming operations. Lauderdale County’s agricultural sector has a significant impact on the local economy, providing employment opportunities and contributing to the state’s overall agricultural production.

For this project, Hall Concrete Contracting poured 5,760 square feet of concrete to create the foundation of two chicken houses of approximately 20,000 square feet each. We poured and finished each slab in one day in June 2022. We used a dual-sloped laser to finish the slab and then we saw-cut the joints. We poured the concrete slab on grade, and the construction company came in and built the chicken house afterward.
